| KALAHARI - SAN CAMP |
| Unfortunately Closed for Refurbishment until January 2011 San Camp, Botswana, is located deep in the Kalahari on the edge of the main Makgadikgadi saltpan. Here the white canvas blends into the salty expanse and the only colours are the blue sky and the white of the salt and the golden yellow of the grasslands. San is smaller than Jacks Camp and also more rustic and traditional. AT A GLANCE
Accommodation: Camp accommodates twelve guests in six large walk in white canvas tents, each with awe inspiring views onto the salt pans. Bthrooms are en suite with bucket showers and bush toilets. Dining is in a simple mess tent on the edge of the saltpan. Activities: are aimed at a holistic understanding of the Kalahari and it's inhabitants. These include game drives in open 4wd vehicles to view the incredible wildebeest and zebra migrations amongst other wildlife and quad biking over the saltpans in the dry winter months ( July - October) In addition there are walks with the San Bushman guides, mornings spent with the personalities of the desert, the meerkats, as well as visits to historic baobab trees.
