Location: - Zibalianja Camp is a small, intimate tented safari camp situated on a palm island on the edge of Botswana's northern Linyanti Swamps. Close by is the lagoon after which the camp is named. There are panoramic views of open floodplains dotted with palms. The Selinda private wildlife concession straddles the Selinda Spillway which is the only ephemeral waterway linking the Okavango to the Linyanti swamps. The area is rich in game and has the second highest concentration of elephant in Southern Africa. Particularly well known for its hippo-killing lions and healthy wild dog population. The open nature of the floodplains makes this an excellent area for cheetah viewing.

Accommodation: - The camp provides accommodation for 6 guests only. Each of the 4 twin-bedded, Meru style tents has en-suite facilities, solar lighting and heating. The tents are built on raised wooden platforms with fly sheet and shade net cover and offer bathrooms with fully integrated modern facilities. Each tent has its own, small raised verandah. Camp facilities include a mess dining and lounge tent, campfire and a fireside bar. There is a viewing deck for magnificent views over the plains. Daily laundry services are included. There is a campfire for cool evenings as well as a viewing deck offering magnificent views over the plains. The camp is lit by solar lighting. The Selinda walking trail is a great addition to a stay at this camp

Activities: - Activities include game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, as well as night drives with spotlights. The camp also offers occasional bush dinners. Short walks with fully qualified guides either from camp or on drives are highly recommended. At certain times of the year, guests may enjoy boating and fishing on the lagoon. As a special activity, every full moon, guests have an opportunity to take part in the camp's monthly game counts. The Selinda area has excellent game viewing and guests can hope to enjoy good sightings of Elephant, Lion, Wild Dog as well as all the plains game. Specialist guiding increases the chance of seeing all the area's large predators as well as excellent wildlife interactions. Night drives produce an abundance of nocturnal species. The area has excellent birdlife and varied vegetation, which is best viewed in the summer between October and April.

Children
Zibalianja Camp only accepts children 8 yrs and over. No childcare/baby-sitters are provided for. Children must be under the care of their parents at all times.
Please Note: Children 8-12 yrs require the use of a Private Vehicle and Ranger for all activities - this will be at an additional charge.
